Tobias Barmettler, head of Stiftsschule Engelberg, will leave the school at the end of the 2025/26 school year to take on new professional challenges. At the start of the 2026/27 school year, he will take over the rectorship of the Kollegi Stans and thus return to his educational roots.

We very much regret his departure. Tobias Barmettler has shaped the Stiftsschule Engelberg for 15 years, 13 of them in management positions, and has played a decisive role in its development.

Abbot Christian Meyer, together with the executive board of the Benedictine monastery in Engelberg, has already initiated the succession process. The aim is to continue the successful development of the Stiftsschule Engelberg seamlessly. Further information will follow in due course.
