Engelberg’s artists, cultural practitioners and institutions open their studio doors for the first time
Engelberg offers a wealth of art and culture, characterised by a wide range of professional, semi-professional and amateur artists. Only few people are aware of this diversity, locals and visitors alike. That is why Florence Anliker (Engelberg Valley Museum) and Birgit Miller (Engelberg Abbey) have made it their mission to showcase the creative potential of the village.
On Saturday, 13 September, artists and institutions will open the doors to their studios – four of them in and around the monastery of Engelberg.
In the theatre hall of the Engelberg Abbey School, Franziska Bachmann Pfister, director of the Kollegitheater, and students provide insights into the Kollegitheater.
At certain times, Father Eugen Bollin opens his studio in the monastery to interested visitors.
And across the street, at Wydenstrasse 34, you can discover the image/video/audio creations of our German teacher Markus L’Hoste.
